Service times in the Benefice

In light of Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have advised us that public worship is to be suspended with immediate effect until further notice.

Our rector Ruth Pyke says “We will be working to ensure that there is ministry by phone, by letter, by email, by Facebook- by whatever means we can encourage each other spiritually and emotionally.  I could not ever have envisaged this when I was ordained- but God calls us in good times and in bad and I and my brothers and sisters from our churches will pray for us all and for our nation”.  And please put a lighted candle in your window at 7pm this coming Sunday (Mothering Sunday) to convey our message of solidarity whatever our creed or religion.

Our churches remain open during this time should you need a moment of calm and Ruth, Sonia and Church Wardens are available if you need to speak to anyone.

We will be updating this website and Facebook page regularly with resources for prayers in our homes. We can no longer meet together as a church but we must continue to communicate with each other. Please keep checking in.

We pray for everyone at this very difficult time and hope that you will all remain well.

Technological communications will be vital to us all, so this may be the moment to join our Facebook page under one of the groups: St Mary Magdalene Barkway,  St Margaret of Antioch Barley or St Marys Reed.

Please note that our churches are always open during the day and you are welcome to drop in for personal prayer at any time.
