Barley Church: Every third Sunday of the month at 3.00pm families come along to St Margaret of Antioch church in Barley to enjoy crafts and games on a Bible theme. We’ve made paper doves, decorated cakes and biscuits, acted out the stories and then we’ve had tea. Its a great occasion for friendly informal church. It finishes at 4.30pm. Come along and join us- everyone welcome.  See the fun they have in the pictures below:







Please do join us at 8pm on Thursday 25th May at St Andrew’s Buckland for our benefice service. The Reed Choir will be singing an anthem and leading our singing. There will be wine and refreshments afterwards.

Please come along on Saturday 27th May as we walk from Barley to Reed via Barkway, with prayer and refreshments in each church.  Barley 9am, Barkway 11.15am, Reed 12.15pm for lunch. Optional extension to Buckland!   https://www.thykingdomcome.global

The Diocese is advertising for a full-time Estates & Trusts Officer to work in the Estates Department at Holywell Lodge. Further details are available from https://www.stalbans.anglican.org/diocese/other-vacancies/

Littlehey prison are having a mission week in June. Churches Together in Royston are supporting them. Prisoners will be given small parcels of biscuits, baked during the week beginning 5th June. If you can bake a batch of biscuits, please contact Sophia Wrangham (848699) who has further details and the recipe.

Plans are really advancing now for this visit in November but it is not too late to reserve a place. Maybe through Easter you have been inspired to follow Christ’s steps. Brochures available, cost £1995 (bursaries available).


Barkway – Tuesdays at 9am.
Barley – Wednesdays at 9am.
Reed – First Thursday in month at 9.15am, subsequent Thursdays at 9am.

Our churches are always open during the day and you are welcome to drop in for personal prayer at any time.
