On 21 May, there was a talk in Barkway Church entitled “A 21st Century Hitler?  Putin and the Russian Invasion” given by Sir Richard Evans, Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Cambridge.  Doors open at 7.30pm with the talk beginning at 8.00pm. The event raised £2,300 to which can be added £2,000 matched Funding from Johnson Matthey in Royston and is to be sent to The DEC Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.  We are all most grateful for the wonderful donation by them as well as for the support of everyone who came to the event.

On Sunday 10 July, Ruth Pyke will be holding her last service in Barkway because she is retiring and will move with Richard to Great Abingdon at the end of that month.  After the service, there will be a party at Manor Farm  to which everyone in the Benefice is invited.
